Ethics Minor Program
Curriculum:
The Ethics
minor requires 18 hours of coursework.
Required

– 6 hours (students must receive a B- or better in both courses to be
eligible for the Ethics minor):

(especially special topics or discussion courses) may potentially count
toward the minor with the approval of the Chair of the Department of
Philosophy and Religion.
Required
Integration Project – 3 hours:
ETH 401 Ethics Integration Project – Required of
all minors. Provides opportunity for the integration of the academic study
of ethics with a specific ethical problem, usually connected to one’s major
field of study or to a service learning experience, drawing on multiple
disciplines to present a response to the problem. Projects require
independent study supervised by a faculty member in the Department of
Philosophy and Religion, often in conversation with faculty members from
other areas as appropriate for the project. Students must have completed
both required ethics courses and at least 2 additional upper-level courses
in ethics from those listed above prior to enrolling in this course.
