The Ethics Minor

The Ethics minor is an interdisciplinary program designed to help fulfill the core purpose of the institution to “prepare students to engage the world as informed, ethical and productive citizens.”  This minor complements any major, providing clear engagement with the ethical dimensions of who we are and how we ought to live as citizens of the world.  As an interdisciplinary minor grounded in the liberal arts, the ethics program provides opportunities for disciplined engagement with core human questions and dilemmas.  It also offers knowledge of basic methods, theories and tools in ethical analysis and practice.

The Ethics minor is appropriate for students in any major, providing an integration project (see courses) that allows students to connect their work in ethics with issues in related to their major field of study.
